ABOUT ME

 Jill Wilson

Hello, I'm Jill.

It's important to find a therapist who you know is fully qualified and works to professional standards.

I am Registered and Senior Accredited with the British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists (BACP). I gained BACP Accreditation in 2012 and BACP Senior Accreditation in 2016.

'All practicing BACP members must be Registered. Gaining Accreditation demonstrates that you have achieved high standards of knowledge, experience and development.

Senior Accreditation is for the most experienced practitioners,

approx. 3% members.' (BACP)

I work in accordance with the BACP Ethical Framework for the Counselling Professions, available at:  http://www.bacp.co.uk

I have a Diploma in Counselling (2010) and an MSc in Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapy (2013) both from the University of Salford; a Post Graduate Certificate in Clinical Supervision (2018) from the University of Derby; a Diploma in Life Coaching and I have completed further training in mindfulness, compassion-focused therapy, and working with long-term physical health conditions.

I bring 15 years' experience as a counsellor and psychotherapist, working with adults, in a full time capacity to my private practice.

My experience includes mental health services, GP services, NHS occupational health and hospice, palliative care and bereavement.

I have always worked in the 'helping professions' and have more than 20 years' experience as a Registered Nurse.

I am a nurturing soul and enjoy gardening and spend time rescuing and volunteering with animals. I am genuinely passionate about my vocation as a therapist and I will go that extra mile to help my clients. No pun intended!
